“Our Commitment to Health and Community: Who We Are at Health for Everyone (H4E)”

Background

Health for Everyone (H4E) is a non-profit organization which is registered in Malawi with the Non-Governmental Organizations Regulatory Authority (NGORA). H4E was founded to support the Ministry of Health with the strengthening of access, provision and availability of services to optimize health, wellness and development of individuals and communities in Malawi.

Our Vision

H4E envisions a Malawi where all individuals have access to the services required to reach optimal health, wellness and development and are able to reach their full potential.

Our Mission

H4E’s mission is to promote the health, wellness and development of individuals and communities, in particular children, adolescents, women and their families, in underprivileged populations.

Our Objectives

  • To prevent, treat, rehabilitate and eliminate HIV, TB, Malaria, RMNCH related diseases, and any other communicable or non-communicable disease that contributes to morbidity and mortality in Malawi.
  • To support early childhood development and reduce malnutrition.
  • To contribute to optimal mental health of women, adolescents and children.
  • To support RMNCH services and rights to meet the universal health coverage for mothers, neonates, and children.
  • To support efforts in addressing harmful social cultural practices, including gender-based violence, and include sexual and reproductive health, gender, HIV and AIDS and maternal and neonatal health care in life skills training for young people
  • To promote development projects and to support innovations in the areas of health, business and education which will enhance and empower the livelihoods of vulnerable groups, especially women and girls.
  • To use robust data for project management, data driven decision-making to maximize impact and to conduct research within H4E’s scope of interest.

Meet Our Board Chair

Dr. Isabella Msolomba-Musisi

Dr. Isabella Msolomba-Musisi is a highly qualified and experienced professional in the field of Nursing and Midwifery. She began her career as a Registered Nurse Midwife in 1982 and has since pursued various degrees, including a B cur in South Africa and a Masters in Nursing Science with a focus on Community Health Science. Throughout her career, she held positions such as Medical Unit Matron, head of Nursing and Midwifery faculty, and later joined Save the Children (USA) as a senior Health Trainer and Program Officer.

In 2003, Dr. Musisi enrolled as a PhD student at the University of Limpopo in South Africa and successfully defended her thesis in 2007, titled “Development and Evaluation of Guidelines for Operationalizing Community-Based Neonatal Health Care in Rural Malawi.” She then served as the College Principal at St John of God College from 2004 to 2014.

From 2014 to 2016, she worked as the Director of Community Health Programs at Partners in Health, focusing on HIV/AIDS, TB, Nutrition, Sexual and Reproductive Health, and Social Economic Human Rights. Following that, she served as the Registrar/CEO of The Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi from 2016 to 2021.

Currently Dr. Musisi is the Chief Nursing Services Officer for Mwaiwathu Private Hospital in Blantyre, where she provides management and leadership to enhance the quality of Nursing and Midwifery Care delivery.
